Pressing Start asks for microphone permission. Sound is never recorded, played back or sent — only its level is calculated on this page.
No need to shout or blow into the microphone. Your normal speaking voice is enough.
How it works and limits
How to play
- Press Start to allow the microphone. Calibration has two steps: 3 seconds quiet, 3 seconds normal speaking.
- Press Take off. For 24 seconds, 8 gates approach from the right.
- Keep speaking to rise; pause to sink slowly. Match the height of each gap as it passes.
- The microphone switches off at once on Stop, finish, pause or leaving the page.
How it is calculated
The microphone RMS level is mapped between your quiet and speaking calibration (normalised), not decibels. Sudden spikes are smoothed and movement speed is limited.
Calibration asks you to retry if almost no sound arrives, the room is too loud, or the two levels are too close. With reduced motion, the glider moves between five fixed heights.
Limits
Microphone type, input volume and system noise processing change the feel. This game does not rate your microphone or voice. If no sound arrives at all, run the microphone test first.
