Mouse test

Check whether buttons, the wheel, and side inputs appear in the browser.

After starting, use buttons and the wheel in the zone below.

While testing, wheel and side-button input inside this area is recorded and page navigation is blocked. Wheel press and up/down roll are shown separately.

DPI and profile buttons usually only change mouse settings and are not detectable on the web. Lack of response does not mean the mouse is broken.

Some browsers or mice may handle side buttons before the page. If pressing a button navigates away, this browser cannot test that button.

Click interval details

—

Click intervals are observations only; natural double-clicks and switch chatter cannot be separated reliably.

Start the test, use the mouse, then stop — you can then save a summary of this run to My desk.

Details and limits

Observes left, wheel press, right, side Back/Forward, extra buttons, and wheel Up/Down separately. Click intervals and wheel ΔY are observation-only—not hardware polling rate or exact physical distance.

How to check

Start, then use buttons and the wheel only inside the large test zone. Start/stop control clicks are not counted.

If something feels wrong

If clicks drop, check battery, surface, receiver placement, and another USB port first.

Limits

Browsers cannot reliably separate a natural double-click from switch chatter. DPI/profile buttons may not be detectable on the web, and in some environments a side button is handled before the page so it cannot be tested.

FAQ

Is a double-click a hardware fault?

Intervals are observations. Change settings/surface/habit and recheck before concluding.

The wheel feels reversed.
