Keyboard ghosting / simultaneous-key test
Hold several keys and see how many the browser reports at once.
Getting the controls ready…Still loading. Check your connection, then reload the page.
After starting, hold several keys together to observe simultaneous input. Results are browser observations, not hardware certification.
Sizes are visual layout previews only — not exact physical keyboard models. Legends and arrangements vary by product.

Simultaneous counts use non-repeat browser keydowns only. Auto-repeat is excluded. Not hardware NKRO or anti-ghosting certification.

On small screens the whole board is scaled down with key proportions kept. Choose “Large view” and scroll sideways for larger labels. A physical keyboard is needed for a real check.
This diagram uses a common 104-key ANSI reference. Laptop and language-specific keys may differ. Mac changes the key labels, not the physical layout.
Key-repeat intervals (observation)
| Code | ms | Looks like browser auto-repeat |
|---|---|---|
| — | ||
Short intervals can mix OS auto-repeat, switch chatter, and typing habit. Auto-repeat does not increase the simultaneous maximum.
Keys confirmed in browser: 0
Win, Print Screen, some function keys, and OS/browser global shortcuts may never appear here. Treat those as UNVERIFIED — not automatic hardware failure.
Simultaneous counts use non-repeat browser keydowns only. Auto-repeat is excluded. Not hardware NKRO or anti-ghosting certification.
Details and limits
Shows the current and maximum simultaneous keys observed from non-repeat browser events. This is not hardware NKRO or anti-ghosting certification.
How to check
Start the test, keep focus in the capture area, then hold chorded keys as you would while typing or gaming. Watch the live and maximum simultaneous counts update. Browser auto-repeat and chatter are not counted as extra simultaneous keys.
If something feels wrong
If one chord drops keys, try another size preview, a wired link, or another port.
Limits
OS, firmware, or browser-reserved keys may never appear. Counts alone do not grade a keyboard or prove NKRO.
FAQ
A low maximum means the keyboard is defective?
No. It is only what this browser received. Check specs, drivers, and reserved keys first.
My keyboard is labeled NKRO but the number looks low.
The web cannot prove hardware NKRO. This page only counts non-repeat events it receives.
